On September 23rd was the Brigham city temple dedication. We went to the early morning session of it in our chapel. It was beautiful. We were done with church early in the day which we are not used to because our church has been at one o'clock this year. So we decided to do something with the rest of our Sabbath day, and why not go on a beautiful fall drive up the canyon to observe the beautiful leaves changing colors. I packed husband and I a picnic and we got in our little car and left for an adventure. We had no final destination, we just drove. The canyon was beautiful. The trees were bright fall colors. The breeze was crisp, it was indeed fall at last and we couldn't be happier. We drove and drove, we would make little stops when we felt like it to explore or take beautiful pictures. We passed a hidden trail of the mormon pioneers, we passed a beautiful reservoir, we passed a serene little cabin where the perfect winter getaway could take place, and we found a hiking trail with an amazing view. We did not hike it but we did enjoy the winding road view and the scenery from above. The picnic I had packed was planned to be enjoyed on a blanket on the ground somewhere beautiful but while we drove and drove that perfect little spot was not found. So that picnic was enjoyed in the car, we still had the beautiful view, and the heater on our toes which felt nice. We headed down the mountain on that winding road we could see from the top. And little did we know we were close to salt lake city. We had made a giant circle as we headed home. It was such a wonderful day. I'm so glad I had the opportunity of enjoying such a beautiful sabbath day with my husband with such a thankful heart with the many blessings Heavenly Father has blessed me with. I'm glad i captured these images to remember it forever.
P.S. No filters were used on these images. The scenery and colors were really THAT perfect! Talk about beautiful right?!
